Mr Fothergill's Tomato Consuelo F1 Seeds, A superior indoor/outdoor variety. Tomatoes growing in a greenhouse require plenty of ventilation and water, feed regularly once trusses have set.
Sow indoors, 0.5cm deep, thinly in a pot of compost. A temperature of 15-20°C. is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-14 days. Transplant to individual pots when 10-15cm tall. Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Plant out greenhouse crops April to May, to large pots, grow bags or a greenhouse border. Provide support, pinch out side shoots regularly and pinch out growing tip after 5-6 trusses have set. For outdoor crops, delay indoor sowing until March or April. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 45cm apart. Harvest from August onwards. Keep well watered and feed once fruit begins to set.
• A large sweet cherry type with good disease resistance
• Indeterminate (Vine, needs support), outdoors or greenhouse
• Excellent source of vitamin C and antioxidants
Sow time: Jan-Apr
Flowering/Harvesting time: Jun-Oct
