Johnsons Pansy Swiss Giants Mix Seeds, Large âblotchedâ flowers for much of the year. Remove dead flower heads to prolong flowering.
For indoor sowing When February to April. Where In trays of seed compost. How Sow thinly, cover with a fine layer of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover tray with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20°C. Seedlings appear approx. 14-28 days. Care Remove cover when seedlings appear. When large enough transplant 5cm apart in trays. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions from late May onwards (avoid frosts). Transplant 15cm apart in flowering position. Flowers July to October, the same year. For outdoor sowing When May to August. Where In a prepared seed bed. How Sow thinly in rows 23cm apart. Cover with 1.5cm fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. Care When large enough thin to 5cm apart. Transplant 15cm apart in flowering position from September onwards. Flowers May to October, the following year.
